Cost / Donations

How much does it cost?

All Stringtown Railroad events are free, and we do not charge admission. However, we rely on donations from guests to continue to run Stringtown Railroad events. Stringtown Railroad has had over 150,000 passengers since we started in 2005. It has become so large, our families can no longer run it without your help and support.

How much is the suggested donation?

To help us cover our costs for running these events, we suggest a $2 per guest donation. If you enjoy visiting the Stringtown Railroad, please donate and help us continue to provide these events.

What are donations used for?

Stringtown Railroad does not have any employees. We are all volunteers. All donations are used to cover expenses such as fuel for the train engines, candy, decorations, and repairs on the trains and track. All donations exceeding our costs are donated to local charities and non-profit organizations, such as the Primary Children's Hospital, LDS Missionary fund, Red Cross, Lindon Care Center, and others.

Where can you donate?

During large events, such as the Stringtown Polar Express, there are donation boxes at the end of the ride. If you enjoy the event, you can use those boxes to donate.

If you would like to donate online using a credit card or PayPal account, you can click the Donate button below. You will be taken to PayPal.com where you can specify the amount you want to donate and enter your credit card or PayPal information.
